First off, when I’m talking about “racism”, I’m not talking about being strung up and lynched.
I’ve said this many times before and will say this again:
Thailand is one of the safest countries I’ve ever visited. I feel safer walking down the streets of Bangkok at 3am than I ever would in any major American city!
But unlike America where we have stupid hippie organizations which goes over the line trying to make everything fair for everyone, Thailand has no such organizations.
So just a heads up, these a few ways you will be discriminated against in Thailand:
Any foreigner who has ever walked into RCA club in Bangkok on a weekend night will relate to this.
All the Thais walk directly into the club. All foreigners are herded to the side where they are forced to pay an entrance fee. This will happen with quite a few clubs throughout Thailand.
If you golf in Thailand, this can really get under your skin. There are some courses around Bangkok where foreigners are charged two or three times more than Thais to play.
Once you get off the boat into Phi Phi, all foreigners have to pay a fee to step onto the island. The fee isn’t much, just like 20 baht (about 1usd), but it wasn’t required last year.
Take a speed boat from Samui to Koh Phangan and you will pay two times more than the Thais.
AND WHAT REALLY PISSES ME OFF…
There comes a time in every man’s life who lives in Thailand where they get tired of beautiful young women and want to try highly educated, wealthy, hi-society women. The type of women who come from wealthy families or may even be associated with the royal line.
Good luck with this gentlemen. Unless you have some massive Thai connections, all hi-society Thais will look down upon other Thais who are with foreigners.
Note though, this won’t affect 99% of you out there. But if you are like me and like to reach for the stars, this will be a constant thorn in your side…

Its me Sam.
I want to delete all my comments on ur page but i camt do it.
Can i ask u to delete all mu comments for me?
They have the right to charge you whatever they want to charge you. It’s their country. I recent visited Las Vegas and went to a concert there. They charged the locals one price and tourists and it was a ten to twenty dollar charge. People where they want to live and US as a country can charge the same. I found the same problem in Germany and other countries have that same rules. I don’t see people complaining about these countries.
haha yeah u are right. first i also think its too annoying the visa and especially that it cost so much.
but i think i will still prefere to live in thailand than here in europe and also than some other place i can stay.
but i cant afford yet to live in thailand or philippines.
i think i can afford it now, but only in places like chiang mai, maybe also other places.
but then i will on the lowest budget, and i dont want that.
its not enjoyable or nice to live on the lowest budget and then if things becomes more expensive with the years, what is normal it will happen, then i cant afford it anymore.
so im just waiting patiently for the right time that i can afford to go and live in thailand and live a nice lifestyle there.
so now i will just start with a vacation to see thailand for first time and see what i think about it.
About the things about foreigners have to pay more. its just about making money.
also in philippines they have many rules against foreigners, just to make money.
in philippines a foreigner cant own a land, it has to be in a philippinos name.
the foreigner if they want to make a business they can only own or have 40 % in their name, while 60 % of the business have to be in the name of a person from philippines.
and also the visa rules of thailand and philippines is also just to make money.
they take too much for the visa.
in some other countries i know the visa is only around 16 dollars every year, but its a marriage visa.
but still 16 dollars only every year.
but in thailand and philippines u have to make visa all the time.
in philippines u have to leave the country once in a year and the visa is also expensive its around 500 dollars every year or more.
and in thailand u already know the rules there that u write that the person have to leave and enter the country every 3 months and go back again for new visa.
so yeah they just do everything in those countries to make money out of foreigners.
Yeah, dealing your visa is probably the most annoying thing about living in Thailand. It sucks, but there are far worse things in the world….like still living in America 🙂
