Perhaps the best live music in Chiang Mai, this second-story joint features Boy and an ever-changing lineup of Thai and foreign musicians six nights a week. The drink menu is limited, but the beer is cheap. Mondays are jam night, when visitors can sit in.
On the 24th Floor of the Pornping Towner Hotel, this is the highest rooftop bar in Chiang Mai, with a stunning view. The drinks are reasonably priced and Blue Bat offers a barbeque buffet.
Come here is you like to play, as well as hear, live music. Anyone is invited to sit in. It’s a rock ‘n roll place, with posters on the walls.
Offering Muay Thai matches and cabaret nearby, the Kalare Food Court offers food and entertainment, with traditional Northern Thai music and dance performances.
A good place to relax mid-evening, getting away from the crowds and having a drink at a reasonable price.
Another place to get away from the crowds, the Red Lion offers an air-conditioned bar and an open-air terrace with a view of the Bazarre. Drinks are reasonably priced, with a pink of Heineken going for just 100 baht.
The Kalare Night Bazarre is a great place to watch authentic Muay Thai matches. These are not just exhibitions—they are real fights, and the crowd is passionate. Fights are take place Friday nights.
