Hua-Hin Beach offers 3 miles of white-sand, making it far less crowded than many beaches in Thailand.
With a stiff regular breeze, and not too many jets skis or other obstructions, it is also gathering a reputation as a premiere windsurfing spot.
Beachgoers will find that chairs and umbrellas can easily be rented from vendors, but that showers and bathroom facilities do not exist on the beach. Those same vendors also provide water, juice, ice cream and lights snacks, like grilled prawns and fried crab. An abundance of restaurants are available nearby for heavier fare.
Because Hua Hin is a family destination, the beach offers a great deal for children, from pony rides to banana boats. Walking and jogging are also popular. There’s a dive shop in town, though sandy bottoms offer little for divers and snorkelers off Cha-Am.
