Pattaya Beach is abuzz with activity almost everywhere, but the southern and central beaches are a hive both day and night (the north is more sedate)
On the beach, water sports dominate. Windsurfing, paragliding, jet skiing, and banana boat rides are available in abundance. So are charter boats for fishing and diving at local islands.
For those who want to relax, beach chairs, umbrellas and rubber rings are easily obtained. So are massages, under an umbrella or under the palm trees. In fact, almost anything is easily obtained on Pattaya Beach, as an army of amiable but aggressive vendors ensures a non-stop flow of drinks, snacks, ice cream, newspapers and literally almost anything else is ferried from town to beach.
Of course, when you get sick of the sun, there is no shortage of places to go. On the southern end, Beach Road, which borders the sand, and Second Road, which is slightly inland, offer restaurants, bars and shops. Cold beers at reasonable prices are available all day.
