While tamer than Patong, Karon Beach still has its share of wild bars and party spots. Also featuring some laid-back bars and good nighttime restaurants, visitors should have no reason to be bored with the nightlife in Karon Beach. You can find most of the bars near Patak Road.

One of the most laid-back night spots in Karon Beach, Sutin Bar has a pool table and a nice atmosphere. It’s a great place to go when you just want a few cold beers and friendly service.

Gun Bar

Gun Bar is a tamer girlie bar that has a more relaxed atmosphere and somewhat less wild activities than some of the other girlie bars, but it’s still a great place to go if you are looking for a good time. They’re open from 10 a.m. to midnight.

A classic Irish pub, this is a pretty unique venue in Karon Beach. They have a lot of beers and a variety of pub food. Stop in for a drink or some snacks and possibly live music any time between 8 a.m. and midnight. Angus O’Tool’s is located at Soi Centara Karon Resort.

Farang is the biggest girl bar in the area. It can get pretty wild and is open from late afternoon until quite late into the night. Nearby are Phuket (the mildest of the three) and Asia Bar. They are next door to one another on Patak Road.

Soi One Man

Soi One Man is an entertainment complex featuring a number of girlie bars. Most are fairly small but the music is loud and some offer additional activities like sports watching or pool tables. Most popular in high season, this is one of the places to go for a more active night in Karon Beach.

Karma Lounge

Karma Lounge is a two-story bar that has music as its main attraction. Plenty of music lovers head here and sometimes special events are held. It has a friendly staff, decent tunes, and both a bar and a lounge area. Karma Lounge is open from noon until late into the night.

Bar Soi

Bar Soi is a friendly and cool venue that has sports on TV, amiable women, and some music. There’s a reggae bar here and it’s a good place to go for a drink that isn’t too wild or too mild. Bar Soi is located on Luang Pho Chuan Road.
